May the Year of the Rat bring you good fortune and good health. B and B at Civano has been a happy place since last we entered a message. Folks from Oklahoma, California, Minnesota and Arizona enjoyed the beds and the breakfasts and especially the Friday night Wine Party. Yes, we had to move indoors, but the neighbors and guests enjoy a glass, find out they lived within blocks of each other and all that good stuff. Wishing you all well!

Here it comes! Next weekend is the Tour de Tucson and hundreds and hundres of bikes will be flashing through town. Some big names are here to win the race for time. Thousands more will do it for the fun of it. Go to www.pbaa.com/ for more information. Shoppers, stay home on Saturday, unless you want to get out on the road side to cheer for your favorite riders. One room is still available at Bed and Breakfast at Civano. Come on down!

Tucson is gearing up for the Tour de Tucson. Motels and hotels are booked. Be sure to contact me for bed and breakfast reservations for this event and for the Gem Show in late January and early February. Coffee morning on Saturday is moving to the Community Center. How exciting! Friday night Back Patio Wine Party keeps growing. Too much fun!

Bed and Breakfast at Civano, located in Tucson, Arizona, had guests last week from Crawfordsville, Indiana. They joined us for the Back Patio Wine Tasting and enjoyed a visit with their grandchildren. We are gearing up for the second annual Art and Fine Craft Festival held next door to the Bed and Breakfast on November 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come for lunch if nothing else because Rudy’s Ribs will be serving up Bar-B-Que. Have you made reservations for the Gem Show yet? Better get on that.

You should have been here this weekend! We had our Back Patio Wine Party Friday night and our guest, Jonathan, from San Jose, joined us. The stars were bright and the wine was delicious. On Saturday morning we held a coffee gathering in the front yard and dog walkers, baby strollers, health walkers, neighbors and their guests joined us. Guitar music was provded by Paul. Things happen in Civano. Join us by staying at Bed and Breakfast at Civano.

10:01:30 am October brings the fall season. 

A great weekend. The October Fest, held in Ty Corbett Field on Saturday, brought back memories of Garmisch. A beer and a brat, music, crafts, and lots of families enjoying the evening made it special.

Cooler temps in Tucson. The place is coming alive. Be sure to make your reservations for the Tour de Tucson. Motels and bed and breakfasts fill up early.

Welcome! Let’s have a celebration. The web site is finished and you are now able to read the weekly goings-on in Civano as well as the doings in the bed and breakfast located in Tucson. Be sure to get your reservations made early for the Tour de Tucson. Hotel and motel rooms are at a premium. We welcome riders. The jacuzzi tub would feel very good after your ride.

“Wine on the Back Patio” took place this past Friday night. We tried two of the 2007 winners of the Sunset Magazine California Winery contest. Listed under “People’s Choice Award” was a Red Louis M. Martini Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 and a White Geyser Peak Sauvignon Blanc 2006. We tried to distinguish the “minty chocolate” in the red and we were a little hesitant on the “tiny touch of gooseberry” in the white, but it was great fun to search for those elusive flavors.
